Safety Component Lab


This lab is equipped for endurance testing of various automotive components. These facilities are being used for the certification of Seat, Seat Belt, Dash Board, Bumper, Hydraulic Brake Hose, Non-plastic & Plastic Fuel Tanks, Wheel Rims, Control Cables, Pneumatic Coupling, Retention And Release Of The Windows, Wheel Guards, Wheel Nuts, Wheel Disc.

Bumper Impact Pendulum Rig

The Bumper Pendulum Test System is used for testing of the energy absorbing components of the vehicle front structure and rear    structure.

Interior Fittings Test Rig

The compact launcher is an impact test system capable of launching head forms against the vehicle parts or subsystems up to 32 Kmph.

Head  Restraint  Test  Bench

Head Restraint test bench designed to check the seats and head restraints behaviour during rear crash. Accurately measures the deformation angle and displacements caused by pseudo human backforms and headforms.

Walk in Chamber

Walk  in  chambers  perform  full  vehicle  level  tests  where  the    environment temperature must be controlled  within certain limits.

Climatic Chamber

Fire Resistance To Non Metallic Fuel Tank

  • To carry out the Fire resistance test as per IS 15547: 2005 – Plastic Fuel Tank for Four Wheelers.

Fuel Tank Over Turn test rig

  • IS 15547:2005 & IS 12056 : Plastic & Metallic Fuel Tank for Automotive Vehicles.
  • The rotation increment of 90° shall take place in any time interval from 1 to 3 minutes.
  • Maintain the angle accuracy of ± 0.1deg.
  • Tray provided to collect the leaking fuel from the fuel tanks
  • Maximum fuel tank dimensions as 1000mm x 750mm x 500mm.
  • Maximum fuel tank capacity as 480kg.

Extraction & Retraction Machine for Seat Belt

  • To measure the Retracting and extracting force of the seat belt assembly as per IS 15140:2003
