CAD / CAE

CAD/CAE Lab is one of the Centre of Excellence in GARC. The general purpose of this lab is to offer a platform for training, designing, analyzing, simulating and optimization of automotive vehicle components in the virtual environment with aid of dedicated software

A CAD/CAE software lab for aiding the engineering tasks, as to create, modify, analyse or optimize a design is proposed to be setup in GARC.

This software lab is grouped on the basis of assisting the specific requirements of other technical labs in GARC and it also houses the software’s which are used commonly for all other generic application.

CAD Design

Design is a systematic procedure to convert the concepts into products to satisfy the needs of the customer using mathematical and scientific approach.

CATIA V6 & SIEMENS NX aid us in the creation, modification or optimization of a design

CAE

Computer-aided engineering (CAE) is the process of solving engineering problems through the use of sophisticated, interactive graphical software.

Pre Processing

The pre-processor aids in defining the geometry model, the physical model and the boundary conditions.

Solver

Solver aids in computation of the defined conditions of the model from pre-processor

MSC Fatigue is a FE-based durability and damage tolerance solver, and is the only solution that can deal with the full range of fracture and fatigue life calculations for static and dynamic problems in both the time and frequency domain.

Post Processing

Post processor aids in interpretation of results using scientific visualization tools and techniques
